Pick one goal this week~

I am a believer in focusing on small goals in your life at a time before getting stuck on the larger ones. I have many clients who get so focuses on the end result of a goal that they don't move forward at all. They feel overwhelmed and unfocused. If you need to lose thirty pounds and that is all you focus on, it can feel intimidating. Instead focus on just losing one to two pounds this week. What can you do this week to lose a pound or two? Cut out sweets and alcohol? Don't snack after 7pm? Get to the gym a couple of times? So, this week pick one goal you can do for the next 7 days. That's it~ What is something you want in your life that you are willing to commit to for simply one week? Now get to it! After this week you can re-evaluate and do something else.

Good luck!
My goal is to swim three days this week~

Sunny Sunday!

I am excited to enjoy a beautiful Sunday with my family! We have a busy day planned between soccer games, organizing the house for our impending move, cleaning the home, and preparing for the week. But, the simple fact that it is sunny and nice outside instantly puts a smile on my face. I took my dog Quigley on a walk and used the time for meditation and quiet time. I love that! I hope you all enjoy this Sunday with your own loved ones!

Playing in the sun~

So my life is very hectic between work, organizing a move, volunteering for the kids at school, and coaching my daughter's soccer team. Today was a great day though~ It was beautiful and warm and I loved coaching my 5 year old on a perfect Spring Day. I feel so blessed that my professional life is able to cater what I love most, which is being completely engaged and involved in my kids lives. I wouldn't have it any other way. Your children are young for such a small window of time, so I am trying to treasure it and enjoy every minute along the way. Next week will be back to the details of configuring a kitchen remodel for the new home while trying to have a garage sale of our current items. Keep you posted!

Terrific Tuesday

This week is going to be gorgeous here in Denver, so I am fully feeling the Spring and Summer joy! I love warm days when you can just soak in some sun and energy. I am so grateful that things in my life are just clicking. We purchased a new home before even thinking about putting our own home on the market (a little risky in this market)But we have a beautiful home that we've put so much time and remodeling into, so I was confident it would sell fairly quickly. Well, our neighbors and friends decided they wanted to purchase it. But, they needed to sell their home first, and they haven't had much luck selling it in the past. Long story short, their house sold in 4 days and so they are able to buy ours. Between the closing on our new home, the work we want to do to it before moving in, and the closings on our current home and our friends home, everything just worked out perfectly. We will have 6 weeks to do some remodeling before we have to move in to our new home, and we won't be rushed. And most importantly, I know our current home is going to a great family who will cherish it like we did. I'll deal with the emotions of leaving soon....

Beautiful Monday morning~

So, yesterday my kids and I played out in the snow and built some snow forts. I unfortunately forgot how brutal the glare is from the snow, and even though I put suntan lotion on the kids faces, my daughter got a horrible burn around her eyes. It hurts to look at her beautiful face~ She said it doesn't hurt, but it really looks brutal. She has fair skin like myself. I felt so bad for her that I even put on some of my make-up powder to conceal it a bit. It helped quite a bit, but I feel like a lousy mom for the moment:) I'll keep you updated...

Sunday evening review~

Ok, so looking at my goals for today, I had a moment of clarity~ I did clean..I didn't do much organizing..I didn't have a chance to write some for my new book...but I did build a snowman and play with my kids. So, instead of feeling upset over what I didn't accomplish, I am really proud of how I spent my time. Building a snowman far exceeds anything else I could have done. The experience and the moment with my kids far surpasses any work that I needed to do. So, to all you mom's out there...enjoy the little moments with your kiddos, because they go by in a flash. Have a great evening~
